THE CHALLENGE

A federal law enforcement agency required persistent aerial surveillance capability for multi-target tracking operations across urban environments. Existing single-payload drones required multiple aircraft and operators, increasing cost and coordination complexity. Data security requirements mandated NDAA-compliant hardware with edge-processed intelligence, with no cloud routing permitted.

THE SOLUTION

HERA deployed with 4 simultaneous payloads: VianSight dual camera (EO + thermal) providing 30× optical zoom and FLIR thermal overlay, with independent tracking on 2 targets simultaneously. The 105 TOPS edge AI processed all detection and tracking onboard, transmitting zero data to external servers. LED module provided illumination for night operations.

THE RESULTS

HERA replaced a 3-drone fleet with a single platform, reducing operational personnel by 67%. Simultaneous independent tracking of 2+ subjects was achieved from a single aircraft. Over 12 months of deployment, zero data security incidents were recorded, maintaining full NDAA compliance throughout.
